POWER MANAGEMENT

It is very important to have power banks and solar panels if you plan to use this long term in a disaster or hiking or something

I use a flex solar 40w solar panel (6 panels), and in direct sunlight, it will charge a smart phone about 10-20% per hour. so you could theoretically charge a 10000mAh power bank each day per solar panel. They are also water resistant.

Make sure you have people on your team dedicated to keeping the solar panels safe and pointed directly at the sun. otherwise, make sure you stash them somewhere safe while you are working

ONLY USE ATAK WHEN YOU NEED IT.

find ways to manage the power use. it uses alot of battery, especially if you use stock android instead of GrapheneOS. close the app and only open it as needed. I found it uses about 5-20% battery life per hour, depending on how long you have the screen on.

I have around 10 power banks ranging from 5000-20000mAh charged at all times. Keep them topped off every chance you get in order to stay operational.
