📱SETTING UP ATAK PHONE

DO NOT USE ATAK WITHOUT A VPN! EVER!

The best option is to create a user account on your phone, or have a dedicated ATAK phone. If you make a new user, ensure a VPN is also on that profile. I only do this because I do not trust any app, and it has complete access to all files on the user it is installed on. If you do not care, don't worry about this.

INSTALL APPS

For whatever reason, I am unable to install the APK file unless I move it to the root directory of my phone. Go to your files, downloads, and then highlight the APK files and select "copy to" and move them to your main phone folder. (Mine is called pixel 5, yours will be called whatever your phone is named).

Install ATAK

Install the ATAK forwarder

Install HAMMER, UAS tool, Data Sync

Install Meshtastic

ATAK FIRST STARTUP

I will go more in depth of you first start later, but for now just do this so you can install the plugins

A lot of popups and permissions will appear. Accept all

INSTALL PLUGINS

Click on the top right menu and find "plugins". Install Night Vision, TAK Geocam, ATAK forwarder, HAMMER, and Data Sync

If any say incompatible, you need to find the correct versions for ATAK 4.7

Some of the plugins become standalone apps on your phone, while others just appear in ATAK. this is normal.
